Math culture starts with building a guiding math vision. The math vision will help your team develop common language and in turn work toward building a math culture in your school or classroom. Math culture can feel overwhelming, but with a clear math vision you’ll be well on your way to developing math culture to help your students achieve more than they thought possible.
As a teacher, sometimes it feels overwhelming or impossible to change the culture of your school. However, I want to encourage you to press play on this episode and think about the ways you already change culture… in your classroom and with your colleagues.
Teachers are the change makers in schools. You have the power in our schools to partner with administration and leadership to make real change.
